Crowsnest Pass RCMP charge two with property offenses

CROWSNEST PASS, AB – Crowsnest Pass RCMP have charged two people with stolen property offenses.

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, police were called to a collision on Highway 22. Responding officers discovered that the truck involved was stolen from Cranbrook and the trailer was stolen from Blairmore.

After members of the public reported suspicious activity, RCMP soon located and arrested two suspects.

Lester Martin, 38, and Jonathan Arsenault, 24, of Sylvan Lake face the following charges:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over 5000 x3
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose x 2
  • Possession of break in instruments
  • Operation of a vehicle without registration
  • Operation of an uninsured Motor vehicle X 3
  • Drive uninsured OHV

Additionally, Martin was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both suspects will appear in court in Pincher Creek on July 11.
