LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Hurricanes forward Miguel Marques has cracked TSN’s Bob McKenzie’s top 100 draft prospects ahead of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.

McKenzie ranked Marques as the number 67 prospect in the draft in his final rankings released on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He had previously been ranked at 61 in McKenzie’s January rankings, and at number 53 in NHL Central Scouting’s North American Skater rankings.

The 5’11 winger broke out in a big way for the Hurricanes in the 2023-24 season, finishing the year with 28 goals and 46 assists for 74 points in 67 games.

Marques led the Hurricanes in scoring, with his 74 points more than tripling his total from the previous season. He missed the first two games of the Hurricanes’ first round series against Swift Current with an injury, and added one assist over his two postseason games.

In addition to Marques, Lethbridge-born forward Terik Parascak was also ranked on McKenzie’s final list. Parascak is ranked at 25 after a rookie season where he scored 43 goals and 62 assists for 105 points for the Prince George Cougars. Parascak was named the B.C. Division Rookie of the Year for his accomplishments.

The 2024 NHL Entry Draft takes place from June 28 to 29, 2024 at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
