LETHBRIDGE, AB – You might get a call over the next few weeks regarding the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS).

The service has contracted PRA Inc. to conduct a random phone survey to gather information and feedback from the public.

The 2024 Community Survey will help to evaluate the overall performance of the LPS and citizen satisfaction, perceptions of safety, identify recommendations for improvement, and help establish the community’s policing priorities.

The LPS says community policing is based on the principes of partnership, ownership, problem-solving and quality service.

“Effective community policing requires ongoing dialogue with citizens and a collaborative approach to identify community needs and expectations,” reads a media advisory from the LPS.

The phone survey will start on July 2, 2024 and take place over two-to-three weeks. The survey is confidential and should take around eight-to-10 minutes to complete.

The results will be shared publicly later this summer.
