Lethbridge Hurricanes goaltender Harrison Meneghin has been drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Lightning selected Meneghin with the 206th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, in the seventh round.

Meneghin’s 2.59 goals against average (GAA) was good for sixth in the WHL, while his .919 save percentage placed him in second. The Surrey, B.C. native was named the WHL Goaltender of the week on January 2, and was named the Hurricanes’ MVP ahead of their final regular season game.

At the end of the season, Meneghin was named to the WHL Central Division First All-Star team for his stellar 2023-24 campaign, and was named the Central Division goaltender of the year.

Meneghin was the second of two Hurricanes taken in the draft, following Miguel Marques.
