Heat records set across Alberta Monday

New heat records were set in 14 communities across the province.

Environment Canada says, on Monday, July 8, 2024, Wainwright in east-central Alberta got the hottest at 32.7 degrees Celsius.

The Grande Prairie area broke its record that had been standing for the last 93 years as it reached a maximum of 32.5.

In southern Alberta, records were set in Banff, Crowsnest Pass, and Drumheller.
