Gyro Spray Park to open during heat wave

Jul 10, 2024 | 10:35 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge is opening one of its spray parks to help the public beat the heat.

With the heat warning in effect for the region from Environment Canada, the City announced on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 that Gyro Spray Park will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. during the heat wave.

The City’s other two spray parks at Legacy Regional Park and Rotary Centennial Fountain in Galt Gardens have expanded hours as well. They will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Since Gyro Spray Park does not use recycled water like the other two, the City will close it again once the heat wave is finished to continue conservation efforts.
