LETHBRIDGE, AB – Five Lethbridge Bulls have been named to the 2024 Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) All-Star Game.

Javier de Alejandro, Drew Lenehan, Scott Hansen, Josh Kabayama and Kyle Yip will represent Lethbridge at the festivities.

Javier de Alejandro has a 4-1 record and 3.00 earned run average (ERA) this season, striking out 28 batters in 30 innings. The Texas native made headlines last season as well, pitching a no hitter.

Lenehan is the second of two Bulls pitchers named to the game. The right-hander leads the Bulls in strikeouts this year with 34 in 32.1 innings.

Hansen is in his first season with the Bulls, and is having a very productive year so far. He currently owns a .384 average and a massive .471 on-base percentage with two home runs and 22 RBIs.

Kabayama has been another productive player for the Bulls. He is currently hitting .303 with two home runs of his own. Kabayama has also shown his proficiency in the outfield, as he plays all three spots, and has pitched two innings.

Yip is in his second year with the Bulls, and has exploded offensively this season compared to 2023. In 28 games, Yip is hitting .355 with four home runs, which places him second on the team.

The 2024 WCBL All-Star Game takes place at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks on July 20.
