Southern Alberta heat warning in effect again

Heat warnings have been issued for parts of Southern Alberta once again.

While just days ago the heat warnings in communities such as Lethbridge, Taber, Cardston, and Claresholm were lifted, as of Tuesday morning they have been put back in place.

Environment Canada issued the warnings saying, “For the next 8 to 10 days, daytime highs will be between 28 and 36 degrees Celsius and overnight lows will range from 12 to 20 degrees Celsius.”

Be sure to monitor yourself and others for signs of heat stroke or heat exhaustion, symptoms can include:

  • High body temperature
  • Lack of sweat
  • Confusion
  • Fainting
  • Unconsciousness
