LETHBRIDGE, AB – An Agri-Food Scholarship in Southern Alberta is returning for 2024.

SouthGrow Regional Initiative is bringing back the Agrifood Futures Scholarship Program. This year, the program has been expanded to include three scholarships.

In addition to the SouthGrow Scholarship, which was offered previously, the MNP LLP Scholarship and the D-Com Energy Solutions Scholarship have been added to the program.

The three scholarships of up to $2,500 each will be available for students who plan to pursue careers in the agri-food industry in Southern Alberta.

The organization will award one scholarship each to a student at the University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge Polytechnic, and Red Crow Community College. They say the scholarships are designed to encourage and support the next generation of leaders in the agrifood sector, ensuring the continued growth and innovation of this vital industry in the region.

Applications for the scholarships are being accepted until August 31. Information on applying can be found on SouthGrow’s website.
