LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Lethbridge Bulls player will be moving to the coaching ranks.

On July 23, 2024, Under the Lights announced that Bulls first baseman Carlin Dick has been named as the new head coach for Lethbridge’s Longhorns Baseball Academy.

Dick is currently in his fourth season playing for the Lethbridge Bulls. The Abbotsford native also spent four years with the Divison I NCAA’s Canisius University Golden Griffins. Dick had a very strong 2024 season with CU, hitting ten home runs with a .287 batting average, and stealing 21 bases.

Moving into his new head coaching role, Dick said, “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that Josh and Kevin have given me. I’m very excited to share my baseball knowledge with the Longhorns Academy and look forward to giving my best effort to help the kids have success on and off the field.”

Before taking on his new role, Dick will look to help the Bulls on a championship run in his final season. They currently sit in third place in the West Division with a 30-15 record, and have won nine straight.

They’ll look to take their winning streak to double digits with a victory over the Moose Jaw Miller Express on July 24, 2024.
