RCMP investigating fatal collison on Highway 3

UPDATE: July 24, 2024 – 1:35 p.m.

Crowsnest Pass RCMP is investigating a fatal collision on Highway 3.

On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, police were called to the area of Highway 3 and 80 Street around 2:30 p.m. When they arrived on scene they found a collision between an SUV and a motorcycle.

Police say the driver of the motorcycle, a 67-year-old man from of British Columbia, died at a nearby hospital.

The investigation onto the collision is ongoing.

Crowsnest Pass RCMP is on scene at a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 3 at 80 Street.

Police say the eastbound lanes are closed, and detours are in place.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible.
