Seasons Lethbridge Gardens supports Food Bank through a unique spaghetti-eating contest

Seasons Lethbridge Gardens Retirement Community has once again made efforts to support the Lethbridge Food Bank Society.

Between July 1 and 12, 2024, Seasons Lethbridge Gardens hosted “One Can Make a Difference”. An annual company-wide challenge that is meant to encourage people to donate cans to their local food bank.

This year, they acquired 9,543 cans. This well surpassed their goal of 7,000 and passed what they collected last year by 3,167 cans.

Seasons Lethbridge Gardens hosted a spaghetti-eating contest – requiring the contestant to use no hands or utensils – as a way to support donations. Residents brought canned goods to vote for the person they believed would finish their plate of spaghetti the quickest.

Since 2016, Seasons Retirement Communities, which has 21 locations across Ontario and Alberta, has partnered with local food banks and donated more than $300,000 in funds and food to local food banks.
