LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge & District Exhibition (LDE) is encouraging those attending Whoop-Up Days 2024 to go green.

This year, volunteers from the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre (CSAC) will staff a bike check everyday at Whoop-Up Days, where guests can safely leave their bikes while at the grounds.

The bike check will be at the old Safety City location on the north end of the Exhibition. The service is free to use, but users are encouraged to make donations to the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre.

Paul Kingsmith, Director of Community Development at LDE says, “Riding a bike to Whoop-Up Days helps to alleviate vehicle traffic and is an environmentally-friendly option, so we want to make it as easy as possible for guests to use this option. We’re thankful for the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre who are making this initiative a reality.”

The bike check will run from noon until 12:30 a.m. every day during Whoop-Up Days.

The festival runs from August 20 to 24.
