Vulcan RCMP investigating collision in Vulcan County

VULCAN COUNTY, AB – Three people are in the hospital following a vehicle collision in Vulcan County.
On Sunday, July 28, 2024 at around 11:00 a.m., Vulcan RCMP and High River Traffic Services responded to a 911 call of a two vehicle collision on Highway 23, at the intersection with Highway 24 in Vulcan County.
An investigation revealed that a southbound pickup truck collided with a eastbound crossover SUV. The SUV had left the east bound stop sign to cross Hwy 24 when the collision took place in the middle of the intersection.
Three occupants of the SUV were taken to a Calgary-area hospital, with one being transported by STARS Air Ambulance. The driver of the pickup truck was treated for minor non life threatening injuries.
