Two Lethbridge residential fires under investigation

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Two residential fires in Lethbridge are under investigation.

The first occurred just after 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 23 in the 2000 block of 7 Avenue North. Crews searched the home, and found a family pet deceased.

None of the residents of the house were injured, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Damages are estimated at around $300,000.

The second fire took place at a home on Sunridge Boulevard West just after 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 25.

19 firefighters from three stations responded to the call, and the fire was contained to the basement. The damage is estimated at $200,000 and the cause of the fire is also under investigation.
