Lethbridge area expecting heavy rain Wednesday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Environment Canada says some parts of southern Alberta will experience heavy rainfall.

They have issued a special weather statement for communities including Lethbridge, Taber, Milk River, Cardston, Fort Macleod, Claresholm and others farther north.

According to Environment Canada, rainfall will begin Wednesday morning, August 28, and continue until Thursday morning.

The impacted areas could get anywhere between 30 and 50 mm of rain.

The rainfall is expected to be accompanied by wind gusts up to 70 km/hr.
