Lethbridge man wanted in connection to break-in, firearms offences

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking for help in finding a wanted man.

They say, on July 4, 2024, police responded to a report of two men armed with guns breaking into a property on Staffordville Crescent North. Both fled in a vehicle prior to the arrival of police.

A short time later, one of the suspects fled on foot and was arrested by a K9 unit.

The other suspect remained inside the vehicle and drove away.

The vehicle was discovered parked with nobody inside, but three shotguns were found in the vehicle, one of which is believed to have been stolen. LPS also claims to have seized a “significant quantity” or stolen property and break-in tools.

The second suspect has been identified as Robert Allan George Moczo, 38, of Lethbridge. He is charged with:

  • Use of a firearm while committing on offence
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000
  • Possession of break-in tools
  • Break and enter
  • Disguised with intent
  • Possession of a firearm with an alerted serial number

Moczo’s whereabouts are unknown. Anyone with information is asked to call the LPS at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24012780.
