LPS training exercise involving armoured vehicle Wednesday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – If you are driving around Best Buy today, you might see a heavy police presence.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) Tactical Team is conducting a training exercise on the 3800 block of Mayor Magrath Drive South.

It is set to run from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

LPS says the exercise will involve members of the Tactical Team, police vehicles, and the new armoured rescue vehicle that was acquired at the beginning of this year.

There is no risk to the public.
