Sep 26, 2024 | 10:51 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Chief Mountain port of entry is closing for the season on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 6:00 p.m.
Due to its high elevation and the harsh winters in the area, Chief Mountain only operates from May to September. It is located on Highway 6 on the boundary of Waterton Lakes National Park.
Travellers can use the Carway port of entry, Del Bonita port of entry or Coutts port of entry as an alternative during the seasonal closure.
Canada Border Services Agency says as of September, the crossing welcomed 58,462 travellers into Canada during the 2024 season.
