Lethbridge Police charge two in downtown break-in

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police have charged a male and female in connection with a break and enter at a downtown business.

On Monday, September 23, at 5:20 a.m., staff arrived at Cookie Crimes along the 300 block of 6 Street South and discovered the front window had been smashed.

Police were called and the investigation determined the break-in occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. after two subjects smashed the glass and entered the store. Throughout the night video surveillance recorded eight more subjects enter the business through the broken window and steal property.

Following further investigation, two subjects were identified and arrested by the Downtown Policing Unit.

Kathy Marie Mills, 29, and Davey Clifford Weasel Moccasin, 26, both of Lethbridge are charged with break and enter to commit theft.

The Downtown Policing Unit is thanking all of the neighboring businesses that assisted in quickly sharing video and still images.
