LPS town hall Wednesday focusing on fraud prevention

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) hopes to meet with residents this week to discuss an important topic.

They are hosting a town hall meeting on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Lakeview Elementary School from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

The main topic of the event is fraud prevention.

Sgt. Kevin Talbot with the Economic Crimes Unit will give a short presentation about common scams, red flags to watch out for, and how people can prevent falling victim to fraud.

There will also be an open mic Q&A.

LPS is planning to host another town hall in November, which will focus on property crime prevention.
