Bow Island man charged in RCMP drug trafficking investigation

BOW ISLAND, AB – A southern Alberta man has been arrested following a drug trafficking investigation.

Bow Island RCMP, with the assistance of the Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit, four search warrants on October 17, 2024.

The investigation began in September 2024 in response to community concerns related to drug trafficking in the Bow Island and County of Forty Mile region.

The search warrants were conducted on a business, a residence and two vehicles in Bow Island, and police say they seized a “substantial amount” of cocaine, methamphetamine and proceeds of crime.

Bryan Judkins, a 73-year-old male from Bow Island has been charged with a number of offences, including:

  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime

Judkins was released from custody and will appear in court on January 8, 2025.
