LETHBRIDGE, AB – There are plenty of events throughout the week in Lethbridge and the area, and Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Field of Screams – October 18-31, 2024

Field of Screams is back at Spitz Stadium for 2024. The event is a walk through a haunted house created throughout the facility. It has been largely expanded this year, bringing the decorations all up to the top level of the stands and down into the dugout area. Tickets can be purchased here.

Footloose: The Musical – October 23-November 2, 2024

Get ready to kick off your Sunday shoes and boogie on down with Footloose: The Musical, put on by Lethbridge Musical Theatre. The adaptation of the classic 80’s musical runs until November 2 at the Yates Theatre, with showtimes at 7:30. Tickets can be purchased here.

As The World Burns – Cryptic Cryptids – October 24, 2024

Lethbridge’s Improvised Soap Opera, put on by Theatre Outre, is back for its twelfth offering on Thursday nights. Cryptic Cryptids takes a look into the world of creatures like sasquatches and lake monsters for its actors to perform. The show begins at 7:00 and runs until 10:00 at the Good Times Comedy Club in downtown Lethbridge.

Dia De Los Muertos 2024 – October 25, 2024

The Southern Alberta Ethnic Association is holding a Dia De Los Muertos celebration on Friday. Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican celebration and honouring of family and friends who have died. On Friday, there will be music, costumers, masks, dancing, and traditional Mexican cuisine from 5:30 until 10:30.

Misery – October 25-November 3, 2024

New West Theatre is debuting its second play of the season on Friday night. In time for Halloween, the company is putting to stage an adaptation of Stephen King’s Misery. The story follows a writer who is saved after a car crash by an obsessive fan, who turns sinister. Tickets can be purchased here.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Red Deer Rebels- October 26, 2024

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are back at home on Saturday night for a highly anticipated matchup against the Red Deer Rebels. The Hurricanes and Rebels currently sit tied for first place in the Central Division at 13 points. Puck drop is at 6:00.

Galaxy Bowling and Pizza fundraiser – October 26, 2024

Galaxy Bowling and Pizza is holding a fundraiser on Saturday. Enjoy a game of blacklight bowl, snacks, drinks, and a thrilling Silent Auction, all between 2:00 and 6:00. All proceeds will go to the Chinook Child and Youth Advocacy Centre.

Monster Mash at the Mall Halloween Market – October 26, 2024

Bring the kids dressed in their costumes as vendors and participating stores in Centre Village Mall will be handing out treats! There will also be photography and face painting from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Bridge Bolt – October 26 & 27, 2024

The Lethbridge Speed Skating Association’s annual Bridge Bolt Short Track Meet is happening this weekend: Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 at the Cavendish Farms Centre. This year, the Bolt is hosting about 100 skaters, ages 6 to 60, from clubs all over Alberta and into BC and Saskatchewan. Racing begins at 8:00 a.m. on both days.
