Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services puts out apartment fire

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) responded to an apartment fire on Monday, October 28, 2024.
Just before 10 a.m., crews from five stations responded to the blaze in the 2500 block of 5 Avenue South, and arrived to find flames coming from an apartment suite.
The building suffered smoke damage, but LFES says the quick response helped contain the fire to the original suite.
Damage to the building is estimated at $350,000, and the investigation is ongoing.
