“Team Lethbridge” in Edmonton advocating for city initiatives

Nov 5, 2024 | 11:30 AM

A delegation of Lethbridge council members called “Team Lethbridge” is in Edmonton advocating for the community’s needs.

Mayor Blaine Hyggen, Councillor Jenn Schimdt-Rempel, and City Manager Lloyd Brierley, are part of the Team Lethbridge contingent that is in the provincial capital. In addition, there are representatives from 19 different local and regional organizations.

This year, Team Lethbridge is focusing on projects like the expansion of Lethbridge water and wastewater treatment infrastructure, Highway 3 bridge and interchange improvements, and continued collaboration on physician recruitment.

Hyggen said, “Much like the Alberta Municipalities Convention in September, this is a great opportunity for members of Council and the City Manager to meet with Provincial Ministers and continue to advocate for the supports we need in our city to best serve our residents.”
