Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services celebrates 2024 grads

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services is celebrating the newest batch of graduates.

The recruits completed a 12-week intensive training program, learning essential firefighter, rescue and emergency medical skills.

Their training included a wide range of life-saving techniques, such as vehicle extrication and handling hazardous materials.

The graduates are:

  • Andrew Shaskin, ACP
  • Harrison Morton, ACP
  • Taylor Curtis, ACP
  • Mike Stephenson, PCP
  • Billy Burch, PCP

Sean Larkin, Lead Fire Training Officer for the Fall 2024 class said, “Our training prepares these recruits to face critical situations with the confidence. They have the skills necessary to protect the citizens of Lethbridge. We are proud to see them join our ranks, ready to uphold the high standards of LFES.”

The graduation ceremony took place on Friday at the Galt Museum. The recruits are now assigned to platoons across LFES’ five fire stations.
