New exhibition showcasing watercolor work by local artist Kyley Henderson
A new exhibition, created by a local artist, is up and running at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre.
Isolation Series is an exhibition by local artist Kyley Henderson, and depicts 27 watercolor paintings featuring wolves in vibrant and high contrasting colors.
Henderson says her son is the main inspiration for her work, “I paint for my son. He was diagnosed with a dual diagnosis of Down Syndrome and Autism. My art shows fire, passion, and love based on my experiences revolving around my little boy and my newborn daughter.”
She continued, “Some paintings are happy and carefree, while others may be dark or sorrowful. My love for my children, emotions, and fear of the unknown will uncontrollably reflect in my work, which revolves around the vulnerability and beauty of the world around us.”
