Lethbridge Police investigating ‘high-risk’ incident

LETHBRIDGE, AB— UPDATE (Nov. 15 at 9:26 a.m.): Five in Lethbridge charged following weapons incident

UPDATE (Nov. 14 at 8:50 a.m.): Multiple people have been placed into custody.

The Lethbridge Police Service says members of the public can resume use of the area.

The investigation is ongoing. More updates will be provided at a later time.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is asking the public to stay away from an area while they investigate a high-risk incident.

Just after 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024, LPS said its members were on scene at the 1000 block of Mayor Magrath Drive South.

The public is asked to watch for any police presence and avoid the area for now.
