Nov 19, 2024 | 8:42 AM

A multi-vehicle pile-up on the Trans Canada Highway near Cluny claimed the life of a Redcliff man.

Mounties say the 51-year-old was alone in his vehicle at the time. The collision involved a pickup truck and several commercial semi-trucks.

The incident happened shortly before 10:30 Monday morning in the westbound lanes near Cluny.

It took about six hours to tow all the vehicles from the crash site and re-open the highway.

Poor road conditions during a snowstorm are considered to be a factor.
