Hurricanes trade forward Shea Busch to Silvertips for draft pick

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have made another trade, sending 2007-born prospect Shea Busch to the Everett Silvertips.

The Hurricanes announced the deal on Friday, November 29, 2024, which will see Lethbridge receive a fourth-round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft in return.

Busch was selected by the Hurricanes in the sixth round of the 2022 WHL Draft from Yale Hockey Academy U15 Prep team. With the Vernon Vipers of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) this season, Busch has 12 goals and 17 points in 22 games.

Busch is committed to play for the Penn State University Nittany Lions hockey team beginning in the 2025-26 season.

With the fourth round pick coming the other way, the Hurricanes now have four selections in that round.
