Record amount of donations at LPS Charity Checkstop
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is thanking the public for its generosity this past weekend.
The service held its 5th Annual Charity Checkstop on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
“Due to the incredible generosity of our community, a record-breaking 2,981 unwrapped gifts were collected – the highest number ever received during the Charity Checkstop campaign! A special thank you to the Lethbridge Skating Club for their significant contribution to this amazing total,” reads a media release from LPS.
Volunteers also gathered 534 pounds of non-perishable food and $470 in cash.
