LETHBRIDGE, AB – There’s plenty to do around Lethbridge this week, and Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Winter Light Festival – November 29 – February 28, 2025

The Winter Light Festival is back at the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden for 2024. The festival began last Friday, and will run until the end of February 2025. This year’s lights feature the celebration of the four seasons:

  • Haru (Spring)
  • Natsu (Summer)
  • Aki (Fall)
  • Fuyu (Winter)

The festival also features other special events like performances and Horse and Wagon rides. A full list of information is at the Nikka Yuko website.

Rock the Halls – December 11-28, 2024

Get ready to rock around the Christmas tree! Rock the Halls is a frantic and hilarious holiday celebration from New West Theatre that will have you grooving and moving from start to finish. Don your Santa hat and bring the entire family to ring in the holidays. The show runs nightly from Tuesdays until Sundays, with a matinee on Saturdays. Tickets can be found here.

Glow Lethbridge – November 22-December 31, 2024

Glow Lethbridge is back at the Agri-food Hub & Trade Centre this year, with new attractions to see. 2024 marks a new theme for Glow Lethbridge called Santa’s Sleigh Adventure. In it, Santa’s sleigh has crashed, and he investigates a variety of other travel options while rounding up his reindeer.

Thursday will see the ‘Glow After Dark’ theme night, an exclusive 18+ night featuring dueling piano performances and a buffet. Tickets can be purchased here.

Pro-amateur Comedy Night – Every Wednesday

Pro-Amateur Night runs every Wednesday at the Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club downtown. Come see the best local comics or try out comedy yourself. The hosts of the event rotate every week, and it begins at 7:00.

Shakespeare Meets Dickens – December 18, 2024

Step back in time and celebrate the holiday season with the Lethbridge Shakespeare Performance Society. At CASA on Wednesday, an enchanting evening of songs, scenes, and seasonal cheer inspired by the worlds of Shakespeare and Dickens is on called ‘Shakespeare Meets Dickens’. The show begins at 7:00.

The Night Before Christmas – December 20, 2024

The Southern Alberta Skating Academy is putting on a show at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena on Friday night, called ‘The Night Before Christmas’. The show consists of 34 skaters from the local academy, the Taber Figure Skating Club and the North County Skating Club in Picture Butte. Tickets are available online or at the door.
