Lethbridge Salvation Army raises $232K in Christmas Kettle Campaign

Dec 27, 2024 | 8:26 AM

The Salvation Army says it has surpassed what it had already considered an ambitious fundraising goal.

The Lethbridge chapter collected $232,353.35 through its 2024 Christmas Kettle Campaign, surpassing its $220,000 target by more than $12,000.

Lieutenant Zach Marshall, Community Ministries Officer, says this is a testament to the community’s generosity.

“We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of the people of Lethbridge. Your support allows us to extend hope, dignity, and practical help to those who need it most in our community,” says Marshall.

The Salvation Army had placed kettles in seven locations throughout the city between November 26-December 24, 2024. Volunteers also participated in events such as the 55th Annual Coffee and Carols and the national Fill-the-Kettle Day in partnership with Walmart Canada.

Funds raised through the Christmas Kettle Campaign will go towards Toys for Tots, a food assistance program and other year-round initiatives.
