UPDATED: Dangerous Person Alert cancelled

UPDATE: 5:50 p.m., Dec. 30, 2024

The Dangerous Person Alert sent out by the Calgary Police Service (CPS) earlier today, Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, has now been cancelled.

CPS says the 38-year-old man police were searching for has been located.

At approximately 3:40 p.m., CPS says it received tips from the public in relation to the suspect’s vehicle being parked along a road in the Water Valley area. Upon arrival, police located the suspect near his vehicle deceased.

At this time, police are no longer looking for a suspect in relation to the homicides that occurred on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024. 

CPS says autopsies for both victims will take place on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025.

Police say no further information is available at this time.
