Jan 2, 2025 | 9:57 AM

If you are considering running for mayor, city council, or school board this year, the City of Lethbridge has compiled some information to help guide you through the process.

The municipality has updated its election webpage, showing prospective candidates how they can fill out their nomination forms, and information on campaign signs, financial contributions and expenses, and more.

The site will be updated as the nomination period progresses.

Anyone interested in running can submit their forms any time between now and September 22, 2025.

The municipal and school board elections are set to take place this fall. The first date of advance voting will be October 8 and polls are set to close on October 20.

All Nomination Papers must be fully completed before submission. Forms that are incomplete or contain errors will not be accepted. Candidates must submit their Nomination Papers in person at City Hall. Appointments must be booked by emailing election@lethbridge.ca.
