Leo Braillard named one of Switzerland’s top three players at World Juniors

A Lethbridge Hurricanes player has been recognized for his strong performance at the 2025 World Junior Hockey Championships.

Forward Leo Braillard represented Switzerland for the second consecutive year, and emerged as one of his team’s top offensive contributors for this tournament. As a result, he was named one of Switzerland’s top three players of the tournament.

In four games in the round robin, Braillard finished tied for the team lead in points with three, all of them goals. In addition, Braillard added an assist in their playoff matchup against the United States, in which they lost 7-2.

The 19-year-old brought his scoring touch to the tournament from his season in Lethbridge, where he has 12 goals and four assists for 16 points in 24 games. His 12 goals tie him for third on the team.

Joining Braillard in receiving the honour for Switzerland are fellow forwards Andro Kaderli and Simon Meier.
