The City of Lethbridge wants to learn more about how people currently use the coulees and plan for its future.

It has launched the River Valley Heritage Survey, which inquires about heritage sites in the River Valley.

The City says feedback will also be used to help formulate general guiding principles and protocols for Indigenous heritage management in the community.

“The survey is part of the Indigenous-led plan to manage the site of the Battle of Belly River, an historic event recognized as the last major battle between First Nations in Canada that occurred in 1870 in Lethbridge’s river valley,” reads a media release from the City of Lethbridge.

You can take the survey here and it will be open until Monday, January 20, 2025.
