Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for much of the region.

They say wind gusts up to 110 kilometres per hour are expected Thursday, January 16, 2025.

Winds are expected to strengthen in the morning and peak in the afternoon before dying down this evening.

“Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Motorists, especially in high profile vehicles, may expect hazardous driving conditions on highways subject to strong cross winds,” reads an advisory from Environment Canada.
