BookStop pop-up library running at Labor Club Ice Centre

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge and Lethbridge Public Library have teamed up to create a temporary pop-up library.

BookStop will be up and running at the Labor Club Ice Centre until mid-April. Library members can use the BookStop to pick up holds, browse and check books out from a small library and drop off returns.

City officials say the library gives residents the chance to become more familiar with the Lethbridge Public Library.

Jennie Sudo, Community Liaison for the City’s Recreation and Culture department says, “We’re thrilled to offer this new option for community members to engage with the Library and its services. The BookStop makes the most out of underutilized space at Labor Club and offers easier access to library services in a currently underserved area of the northside.”

A library membership is required for book check-outs, and books can be returned to any Lethbridge Public Library location. The City says the pop-up is part of the library’s expansion efforts moving forward.
