Trudeau to meet Polish PM and sign nuclear energy cooperation agreement
KRAKOW — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is travelling to Warsaw today to meet with his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk.
The two leaders are set to sign the Canada-Poland Nuclear Energy Cooperation Agreement, according to Trudeau’s itinerary, then hold a joint media availability.
In December, Export Development Canada issued a letter of interest to provide up to $2 billion in financing to support the sale of goods and services from Canadian suppliers to help build Poland’s first nuclear power plant.
Trudeau is scheduled to return to Canada following the meeting, which comes a day after events to mark the 80th liberation of Auschwitz.
