LETHBRIDGE, AB – 2025 is nearly one month in, and there are plenty of events as the calendar turns over to February. Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Winter Light Festival – November 29 – February 28, 2025

The Winter Light Festival is now in its final month at the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden. The festival will run until the end of February. This year’s lights feature the celebration of the four seasons:

  • Haru (Spring)
  • Natsu (Summer)
  • Aki (Fall)
  • Fuyu (Winter)

The festival also features other special events like performances and Horse and Wagon rides. A full list of information is at the Nikka Yuko website.

Pro-amateur Comedy Night – Every Wednesday

Pro-Amateur Night runs every Wednesday at the Good Times Lethbridge Comedy Club downtown. Come see the best local comics or try out comedy yourself. The hosts of the event rotate every week, and it begins at 7:00.

The Owl Acoustic Lounge events – All week

There are multiple shows and events taking place at the Owl Acoustic Lounge this week. A full list can be found at the venue’s website.

Lethbridge RV Show & Sale – January 29 – February 2, 2025

The Lethbridge RV Show & Sale is back with its biggest show ever, with over 100 units on display including trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes, and more. The show runs from Wednesday until Sunday at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre.

Fiddler on the Roof – January 30 – February 1, 2025

The Lethbridge Symphony is putting on a production of the classic Broadway show Fiddler on the Roof this weekend. It tells the story of the milkman Tevye, as he deals with his three daughters all vying for marriage. The show runs from Thursday until Saturday at the Southminster United Church. Tickets can be purchased here.

Lunar New Year – February 1, 2025

Head to Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden on Saturday for a night of festive performances and fun as we welcome the Year of the Snake. There will be horse and wagon rides beginning at 6 p.m., alongside Minyo dancing starting at 6:30, and an Iaido demonstration at 7.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Edmonton Oil Kings – February 1, 2024

The Lethbridge Hurricanes are back at home on Saturday, taking on the Edmonton Oil Kings. The Hurricanes have won 10 of their last 11 games, and currently sit within one point of second place in the Central Division. Puck drop is at 7:00, and tickets can be found here.
