Lethbridge police charge man in connection to liquor store theft

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a robbery on January 27, 2025.

Just after 8:30 that night, police say a man entered a liquor store along Mic Mac Boulevard, grabbed some alcohol and attempted to leave without paying. When the clerk locked the doors, they say the suspect threatened to assault him, before the clerk unlocked the doors and the man fled.

On Monday, February 3, police announced that Carlos Neal Iron Shirt, 41, of Lethbridge has been charged.

He is currently in custody and awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.
