RCMP warn public of fraudulent Peavey Mart websites

RCMP are warning the public of fraudulent websites and social media pages posing as the legitimate business, Peavey Mart.

These websites claim to offer an online store for purchasing items, however, the real Peavey Mart does not operate an online store, says the RCMP.

Police encourage the public to exercise caution when shopping online and always verify website addresses to ensure you’re on the official website before providing personal or financial information.

If you believe you are a victim of one of these websites, please contact your local police service.

RCMP also advise to contact your financial institution and consider contacting both Equifax Canada and TransUnion Canada to monitor your credit report for unauthorized activity.
