Vauxhall man wins $100,000 in LOTTO 6/49 Super Draw

A man in Vauxhall is $100,000 richer.

On Thursday, February 13, the Western Canada Lottery Corporation announced that Takeshi Sato was the winner of a LOTTO 6/49 Super Draw.

The Vauxhall farmer bought the ticket at the Save-On-Foods in north Lethbridge, and took his ticket into store to scan after the holidays had wrapped up.

Sato says he could not believe that he had won.

“Initially, all the zeroes just pop in front of your eyes! I was pretty excited, I called my brother first and then my sister to share the news.”

Sato was one of two Alberta Super Draw wins for that day, and one of 15 winners on the December 25 LOTTO 6/49 draw total.
