$473K raised at Radio-a-Thon for Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation

Nearly half a million dollars will support healthcare at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

The 30th Annual Care from the Heart Day Radio-a-Thon was held on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Local radio hosts, including Chad Benson, Joanne Sippola, Nevin Sereda and Harley Hyhovich from WILD 95-5 and All Hits B93.3FM, spend the entire day doing live broadcasts and raising money.

This year’s event brought in $473,804.29, surpassing the goal of $400,000.

Some of the biggest donations were:

  • Costco – $160,788
  • Balog Auction Services – $78,005
  • Sandra Schmirler Foundation – $16,725
  • Subaru Lethbridge – $5,000
  • 6A Cattle Co. – $5,000
  • Fort Macleod Curling Club – $3,275
  • Gary Moe Mazda – $2,000

Crystal Elliott, CEO of the Chinook Regional Hospital Foundation, was appreciative of the community’s generosity.

“Your support ensures that our hospital has the tools and resources needed to provide the best possible care for our community. Thank you for making a lasting difference,” says Elliott.
