Lethbridge Police seeking fraud suspect

UPDATE (2:20 p.m. Wednesday): The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) says a man wanted in connection to a fraud investigation has been identified. The suspect has not been arrested at this time and police say their investigation is ongoing.

The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) is looking for a man accused of committing fraud.

In November 2024, they say an unknown man allegedly defrauded a local bank by opening an account, depositing a fraudulent cheque, and later withdrawing the funds.

“Fraudulent activity involving the account occurred in Lethbridge and Calgary, and following further investigation police determined the male could also have ties to the Vancouver area,” reads a media release from LPS.

Anyone who recognizes the man shown in the image above or has information that could help in the investigation is asked to call LPS at 403-328-4444 and reference file number 24024704.
