A teenager is charged following a collision in southern Alberta.

The Taber Police Service (TPS) says it responded to a two-vehicle collision just before 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

They say a tractor-trailer was travelling westbound on Highway 3 through the community.

A pickup truck, heading eastbound on the highway, attempted to turn northbound onto 50 Street and collided with the tractor-trailer.

“The collision caused significant damage to the pickup truck however no injuries were reported,” reads a media release from TPS.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 16-year-old boy from Cranford, is charged under the Alberta Use of Highways and Rules of the Road Regulation for turning left unsafely.
