Heat records were set in several southern Alberta communities yesterday (THUR) Environment Canada says Brooks got the warmest at 16.2 degrees, breaking its 93-year-old record. Records were also set in Bow Island, Drumheller, Milk River, and Waterton. While Lethbridge and Medicine Hat both got above 15 degrees, it wasn't enough to set records.
Nobody hurt in “significant” west side fire

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a structure fire Thursday evening, February 27.
At approximately 8:00 p.m. members responded to a home on Temple Crescent West, where they found a “significant fire” on the front porch, spreading toward the attic.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and prevented further damages to the home.
No injuries were reported.
