Canada’s Jacobs falls to Scotland’s Mouat in extra end at men’s curling worlds

MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Canada’s Brad Jacobs has his first loss of the BKT World Men’s Curling Championship.

He dropped a 6-5 decision on Tuesday to Scotland’s Bruce Mouat at the Temple Gardens Centre.

Mouat made a hit in the extra end for the victory.

Scotland is in first place at 4-0 while Canada sits at 3-1 after seven sessions.

Jacobs will have two-game days for the rest of the round-robin portion of the competition.

The top six teams from the 13-team field will qualify for the weekend playoffs.
