UFA to pay out $32.5 million in 2024 Patronage Dividend

Mar 31, 2025 | 12:54 PM

UFA says that the total Patronage Dividend payout for members for 2024 will be $32.5 million.

The company says in a news release that this follows what is calls “its second strongest financial results in history.”

The dividends will be paid out as a cent a litre on gasoline, 5.5 cents on diesel, 6.5 cents per litre on Dieselex Gold, and three per cent on most other purchases.

Fuel, petroleum products, leases, fertilizers, and some feedlot products are not included in the three per cent category.

Those who made purchases of at least $5,000 during 2024 are eligible for this dividend.

“This patronage return is more than just a number; it’s a story of our members’ loyalty and the collective effort of our entire team. Our financial success allows us to give back reliable and consistent dividends to those who grow our food and are vital to the Canadian economy,” says UFA President and CEO Fred Thun in that same release.

Thun went on to say “Amid the uncertain political and economic climate, UFA remains a steadfast pillar of support for our members. With inflation, rising living costs, and global trade tensions, our commitment is more vital than ever. Our strong financial performance and growing patronage dividend provide a beacon of stability and trust in these challenging times.”
